Abstract : This research paper offers a comprehensive analysis of various models of Organizational Behavior (OB) and evaluates their applicability and effectiveness within modern business organizations. The study reviews foundational OB models, including the Autocratic and Custodial models, which historically emphasized centralized authority and employee security, respectively. While these models were effective during earlier industrial eras, their limitations in addressing the complexities of contemporary workplaces are critically examined. The analysis then shifts to more contemporary frameworks – the Supportive, Collegial, and System models – that emphasize employee motivation, participation, collaboration, and systematic organizational thinking. Through an extensive literature review and empirical case studies of globally recognized organizations such as Google, Toyota, and Amazon, the paper illustrates how these OB models manifest in practice and impact organizational outcomes. Google’s emphasis on psychological safety and collaboration exemplifies the Collegial and System models, whereas Toyota’s lean manufacturing approach aligns with the Supportive model, promoting continuous improvement through employee involvement. Conversely, Amazon’s hybrid application of autocratic and systemic approaches highlights the nuanced challenges of balancing efficiency and employee well-being in large-scale operations.  The paper further incorporates empirical evidence from Gallup’s global workplace engagement reports, which demonstrate the superior performance of organizations that adopt supportive and systematic leadership styles. These findings underscore the growing importance of adaptive, trust-based, and purpose-driven organizational cultures. Ultimately, this study concludes that modern business organizations benefit most from integrating elements of multiple OB models to address diverse operational and cultural demands. Managers are encouraged to strategically blend these models to foster innovation, resilience, and sustained competitive advantage in an increasingly dynamic and complex global business environment.
