Abstract : India’s Insurtech revolution is rapidly transforming the health insurance landscape through digital distribution, data-driven risk assessment, and wellness-led engagement. While this expansion increases access and operational efficiency, it also raises ethical questions about transparency, data privacy, and equitable reach. This paper examines how sustainable marketing strategies can help Indian health InsurTech firms balance growth objectives with social responsibility. Drawing on secondary data from regulatory reports (IRDAI), industry analyses (IBEF, PwC, Bain), and company disclosures (Plum, Acko, GoDigit), the study identifies current marketing practices that support sustainability ethical communication, wellness-centred branding, digital responsibility, data ethics, and inclusive outreach. Case illustrations of Plum, Acko, and GoDigit show how wellness marketing, paperless operations, and clarity in communication improve consumer trust and retention. The analysis also uncovers challenges such as measuring sustainability ROI, data privacy risks, urban–rural coverage gaps and regulatory standardization needs. The paper concludes with practical recommendations: integrate ESG KPIs in marketing dashboards, adopt standardized transparency disclosures, pursue partnerships for preventive care, and collaborate with regulators to incentivize sustainable outreach. The evidence suggests that sustainable marketing is not only a moral imperative but also a durable competitive advantage for InsurTechs in India’s evolving market.
