Abstract: This study investigates the relationship between inventory management systems and sales performance in the Indian commercial vehicle industry, focusing on Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Eicher Motors. Using a decade of data (2013-2023) and statistical analyses, the study finds a significant positive correlation between advanced inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, VMI) and sales performance. Improved demand forecasting, reduced stockouts, and optimized inventory levels are key mechanisms driving this relationship. The findings highlight the importance of investing in advanced inventory management systems for enhancing sales and competitiveness in the industry.
